Most French adjectives of plurals are formed by adding -s to the singular.
la grande femme the tall woman
les grandes femmes the tall women
le grand homme the tall man
les grands hommes the tall men
If an adjective ends with -s or -x, it
does not change in the plural.
le loup courageux the brave wolf
les loups courageux the brave wolves
If the adjective ends with -al, then the
plural replaces -al with -aux
le plan original the original plan
les plans originaux the original plans
If an adjective ends with -eau, it adds an -x
for the plural adjective.
le beau bateau the beautiful ship
les beaux bateaux the beautiful ships
