Indefinite Articles- SINGULAR - um (masculine), uma (feminine)
PLURAL - uns (masculine), umas (feminine)

The plural indefinite article, which we don't have in English, translates "some" EXAMPLES

o homem valente
a mulher valente

os homens valentes
as mulheres valentes

um homem valente
uma mulher valente

uns homens valentes
umas mulheres valentes

the brave man
the brave woman

the brave men
the brave women

a brave man
a brave woman

some brave men
some brave women

If I put "some" into the translator, it generates 'algumas' rather than "uns" or "umas".

I have some bananas

Eu tenho algumas bananas
