Strong Verbs vs. Weak Verbs

Your study of German verb conjugation will differ from the study of French, Portuguese, and Spanish, in that you will learn strong verbs and weak verbs. Like English, German has quite a few past tense verbs that differ from the present tense through a vowel change. (I ring the bell --> I rang the bell).
