ADJECTIVES - PARTICIPLES OF VERBS
Spanish
Italian past participles of verbs can be used as a/o adjectives.
Let's start with the verb "to paint": dipingere
Now construct a sentence using the past participle.
Ho dipinto la porta.
I have painted the door.
Now, if you are familiar with the "Blue Man Group" or the Intel Pentium III commercials,
the following won't seem quite so crazy:
L'uomo dipinto è blu. The painted man is blue..
La donna dipinta è blu. The painted woman is blue..
Since the past participle of a verb ends with "o", the a/o adjective rules apply.
