Adjectives are usually placed after the noun that they modify.
A few common adjectives can be used either before or after the noun. Examples:
- bom good
- mau bad
- pequeno small
- próximo next
- último last, final
- único only
- velho old
A few adjectives change meaning depending on their location before or after the noun:
