Adverbs- Adverbs derived from Adjectives
Italian
Many adverbs are derived from adjectives.
Adjectives that change based on gender (masculine -o, feminine -a) take the feminine form of the adjective and add -mente
to it:
rapido -> rapidamente (rapid -> rapidly)
If an adjective ends with -le or -re it will drop the e before adding -mente.
facile -> facilmente (easy -> easily)
naturle -> naturalmente (natural -> naturally)
