I have been studying the Spanish Language as a hobby since the summer of '92. I went to Monterrey and Saltillo, Mexico for two weeks to attend a conference--everything was magic. No one spoke English. I studied German for a year at Truman State University. I began a review in preparation for a two week company trip to Germany. It was fun. It seems half the people know some English, but you are much better off having a 1000+ word vocabulary. I haven't been to France yet, but one day I want to go to Paris. After a hiatus, during which time Helen took over Temas, converted it to Four, and then designed the new format you now see, I've returned. My focus will be the vocabulary building.
