Adjectives- Adjectives of Plural Nouns


For adjectives of plural nouns that end with -a or -o, the masculine changes to -i, and the feminine changes to -e. In the examples, the noun also changes, and that is discussed in the section on nouns.

uomo alto --> uomini alti
tall man --> tall men

donna alta --> donne alte
tall woman --> tall women



For adjectives that end with -e, they change to -i for both masculine and feminine. This is illustrated with the adjective grande (great).

uomo grande --> uomini grandi
great man --> great men

donna grande --> donne grandi
great woman --> great women
